A Natural Protein Smoothie

Yesterday it was 105 degrees at my house. I didn’t have the tomatoes on hand for a gazpacho, or the watermelon for a watermelon mint soup. I figured it would be a good time to post another smoothie. Smoothies are one of my favorite foods. They are always delicious, refreshing, and extremely versatile.

Serves 2

1 banana
1 ripe peach
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup cashews
2 dates
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup water
6 to 8 ice cubes

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz.  Pour into glasses and serve with mint leaves.
